After their final match against Tockwith BC on Thursday 21 August, Bishopthorpe 'A' were declared winners of the Tockwith & District Village Bowls League with 62 points and Tockwith BC coming second on 50 points. Bishopthorpe 'A' had won 8 of its 10 matches.

Our thanks to Veronica Connolly for running this successful team and to all who played in these enjoyable matches. We will miss Veronica's traditional post-match jokes during the close season!
