A big thank you to all Members who attended this years annual Club Day. The weather was kind to us and it was a very enjoyable, fun afternoon with some players excelling their bowling skills in hitting the bonus points jack multiple times!

The winner of the "lucky spider" competition was John Cooper. In the team, event the winners were Dave Danby, Brian Thorpe and Jan Elliot with an incredible score of 37 - 20 and the runners-up were Amber Steel, Phil Crowther, John Lancaster and Gerry O’Keefe (substitute) with a score of 27 - 21.

The Event raised an incredible £170 for this years nominated charity, Candlelighters, and our Competition Secretary, Tony Hick, plans to round this up to £200 in recognition of members taking part in his "Candlelighters Challenge" - bowling corner-to-corner! Candlelighters supports families affected by childhood cancer across Yorkshire and the monies will be personally delivered by Tony to their Support Centre just around the corner from LGI from Bishopthorpe Bowling Club in memory of his granddaughter Sienna.

Many many thanks to all your generous donations, and thank you Tony for organising the event.
