The annual 2-Wood Open & Strawberry Tea was held on Sunday 10 July, a glorious sunny afternoon. The competition has been renamed the Sue & Martin Prime 2-Wood Open in recognition of their years of service as Secretary and Chairman of Bishopthorpe Bowling Club. The Winner in 2022 was Phil Batt and the Runner-Up Franco Napoletano. The Winner of the Consolation Competition was Derek Smith and the Runner-Up Steve Bradley.

After the match players and spectators enjoyed a traditional strawberry tea, with all the trimmings.
